On Saturday, US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to the Venezuelan government regarding the situation with prisoners allegedly deported from the United States.

In a sharply worded post on his social media platform Truth Social, he demanded that Venezuela immediately accept back all detainees, including individuals in psychiatric hospitals.

He warned that failure to comply would result in the country paying an unpredictable price.

Trump did not specify the number of people involved but emphasized that among them are ‘people from psychiatric clinics’ and insisted that this must be done without delay, warning of potentially severe and unforeseen consequences.

According to him, US authorities insist that the Venezuelan leadership urgently repatriate thousands of individuals who have suffered violence, injuries, and even deaths attributed to their regime.

He stressed that these victims have endured serious harm and have been subjected to brutality, calling for the Venezuelan government to act correctly and promptly to avoid serious repercussions.

While he did not detail specific steps that would be taken in case of refusal, Trump placed responsibility on Caracas for any negative fallout affecting regional diplomatic relations.
