Preliminary reports suggest that his body was discovered on a roadside close to a forest area.

Alongside his body, investigators found a hunting rifle and a farewell note in which he reportedly explained his actions as a result of prolonged struggles with severe depression.According to Russian media and sources, the likely cause of death was suicide.

It is important to highlight that the leader of this company plays a crucial role in Russia’s industrial and defense sectors.

ChemPromInzhiniring, part of the Umatex Group, is the sole manufacturer of carbon fiber in Russia.

This synthetic fiber is among the most vital materials for creating lightweight, durable structures, especially used in aerospace and unmanned vehicle manufacturing.The company supplies approximately 95% of all carbon fiber production in Russia.

This raw material is notably used for making fuselages and components for attack drones, particularly models similar to Shahed-136 or ‘Geran.’ As such, this corporation is a key link in the supply chain of materials used in modern drones, which are actively involved in current military operations.In an environment where Russia often keeps military and industrial secrets under wraps, the death of this critical industry figure raises many questions and suspicions.

The incident marks the 35th mysterious death of Russian top officials and company executives since 2022, fueling an atmosphere of uncertainty and tension within the defense-industrial complex.
