Man Opens Fire on Police During Document Check in Kirovohrad Region, Two Officers Injured
An incident in the Kirovohrad region has drawn significant public attention and heightened tension among law enforcement agencies.
During a routine document check in the village of Pishany Brid, Novoukrainy district, a local resident suddenly fired upon police officers using an unknown firearm.
The attack occurred around 16:03 and was captured by surveillance cameras and witnesses.
As a result, police personnel sustained injuries: the chief of the patrol response unit was shot in the abdomen, while his partner received a gunshot wound to the arm.
A large-scale search for the armed suspect is underway, and law enforcement officers have cordoned off the area.
Special operational measures have been launched to quickly apprehend the attacker and prevent potential further incidents in the region.
