Discovery of Russian Drone Debris in Poland: New Evidence and Nighttime Airspace Violations

Poland continues to reveal new details regarding the large-scale drone attack carried out by Russia on the night of September 10.
Recent findings indicate the discovery of debris believed to be from the last of numerous Russian drones that extensively violated Polish airspace, raising concerns and calls for increased defense measures.
According to the Polish news agency RMF24, this discovery has become a significant development for the country’s security situation, as military and law enforcement agencies work to determine the full scope of the incident.
Preliminary information suggests that if confirmed to be from a Russian drone, the number of such aircraft that infiltrated Polish airspace could reach 19, the number officially recorded by Polish authorities.
The latest debris was found in the Korze village of the Kentshin district, located near the Kaliningrad region of Russia.
The landowner reported that the device was found just dozens of meters from residential buildings.
Law enforcement and prosecutors arrived at the scene for investigation.
Sources in the police indicate that this drone likely belongs to the fleet that violated Polish airspace during the recent attack.
Another fragment was discovered earlier this week near Zamosć, close to the Ukrainian border.
Additionally, a fragment of a Russian ‘Herba’ drone was found on a beach in Latvia.
Background to this incident involves a large-scale invasion and drone attack by Russia on the night of September 10, when 19 to over 20 unmanned aircraft entered Polish airspace.
Most of these drones traveled nearly 300 kilometers into Polish territory, conducting a massive sabotage operation.
The only significant damage reported was to a private house in Vyriki near Lublin.
Speculation has arisen regarding the cause of the damage—whether it was due to a missile from a fighter jet or a shot-down drone.
Polish Defense Minister unequivocally stated that Russia bears responsibility for all consequences of the attack, emphasizing the gravity of the situation and the need for increased regional defense.
