Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his recent remarks, explicitly addressed Kyiv’s stance regarding the recent airspace violation over Estonia.

He emphasized that this incident is not an isolated event but part of a broader, deliberate campaign orchestrated by Russia aimed at destabilizing Western nations and escalating regional tensions.

Zelensky pointed out that Russia employs a wide array of tools to achieve its strategic objectives, from interference in political processes within Moldova and Romania to provocative airspace violations in NATO member countries such as Poland, Romania, and now Estonia.

According to the Ukrainian leader, these actions are not mere accidents but components of a systematic and purposeful Russian policy to increase instability worldwide.

He called for a comprehensive and coordinated response, advocating for strong sanctions and other measures to increase Russia’s costs and compel Moscow to feel international pressure, especially through economic sanctions.

Additionally, Zelensky stressed that strengthening Ukraine’s military capabilities will lead to greater losses for Russia in the ongoing conflict, further isolating Moscow.

He also highlighted the importance of unity among European nations, which have expressed their solidarity with Estonia, and urged partners to intensify pressure on Russia to halt provocative actions and reduce regional influence.

Recently, tensions escalated again when three Russian MiG-31 fighters unlawfully entered Estonian airspace over the Gulf of Finland and remained there for over 12 minutes.

NATO promptly intercepted the aircraft, and European states voiced their support for Estonia.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga called on international allies to reinforce sanctions and coordination efforts to deter Russian aggression and prevent further escalation of the conflict.
