According to a recent survey conducted by the reputable research center Associated Press-NORC, nearly half of adult Americans express the view that Israel’s conduct in the ongoing conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip has crossed the permissible limits.

The survey results show that 49% of Americans believe Israel’s military actions in Gaza have “gone too far,” while 33% think the military response was “almost correct,” and 12% feel it was “not sufficient.” Meanwhile, approximately 22% of respondents emphasize the importance of US military aid to Israel — to achieve the foreign policy objectives of the Trump administration — considering it either “extremely important” or “very important.” Conversely, 41% regard this assistance as either “not very important” or “not at all important.” The public opinion was gauged during the period when Israel intensified its operations in Gaza, including measures to evacuate Palestinians into humanitarian zones before launching ground operations.

The AP-NORC survey was conducted from September 11 to September 15, involving 1183 respondents with a margin of error of ±3.8%.
