Massive Attack by Russian Drones Targets Pavlograd and Regional Shelling: Consequences and Defense Response

On the night of September 18 to 19, the city of Pavlograd in the Dnipropetrovsk region faced a large-scale attack carried out by Russian forces, which involved the use of strike drones and artillery.
According to Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the enemy launched multiple ‘attack drones’ over the region during the night, resulting in several fires within the city.
Firefighters have already localized the blazes, but the aftermath remains evident.
Additionally, the region experienced shelling in the Nikipol district, where the invaders used FPV drones and artillery, targeting the district center and Myrivska community.
Thankfully, no casualties were reported.
The regional authorities also noted damage to critical infrastructure, including health facilities, industrial sites, and administrative buildings, which caused some fires.
Ukrainian Air Force officials confirmed that eight unmanned aerial vehicles—both reconnaissance and strike drones—were destroyed over the region.
The air raid lasted over five hours, starting at 20:48 on September 18 and ending at 01:56 on September 19.
Monitoring communities reported explosions in Pavlograd roughly half an hour before midnight.
Meanwhile, in Kyiv, several downed drones from the attack dropped wreckage across different parts of the city.
These events highlight the ongoing military tension in the region and the resilience of Ukrainian defenses against Russian aggression.
