The National Museum of Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv has launched a captivating new exhibition titled ‘Between Worlds,’ which has quickly become a significant cultural event of autumn 2023.

The exhibition brings together over 180 contemporary works by Ukrainian artists, offering a unique reflection of the multifaceted nature of modern human experience through artistic expression.

Running from September 18 to October 12, this cultural project aims not only to showcase new artistic trends but also to explore pressing social and philosophical issues affecting Ukrainian society today.

Organizers emphasize that the ‘Between Worlds’ exposition is dedicated to representing the multidimensionality of current realities—war, globalization, migration, and digital environments—that create multiple layers of existence simultaneously.

It serves as a dialogue between the past and the future, reality and virtuality, influencing how individuals perceive themselves and their surroundings.

Particular attention is given to themes of human-nature harmony, lived experiences during transformative periods, and the pursuit of new forms of interaction within contemporary society.

The exhibition is divided into two sections: botanical painting and modern art, allowing visitors to delve deeper into questions of coexistence between humans and nature, rethinking personal experiences, and discovering new ways to connect in today’s world.

Visitors can also participate in educational activities such as lectures, master classes, curator-led tours, and meetings with researchers and art critics.

These events aim to deepen understanding of the exhibition’s themes and engage a broader audience in contemporary cultural debates.

Ticket prices are set at 150 hryvnias for adults and 70 for pensioners and students, with options for weekday visits by prior appointment.

The museum operates Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

This is a valuable opportunity for art lovers to connect with current social and philosophical topics through Ukrainian artists’ creative expressions.
