Ukrainian Drones Target Russian Oil and Chemical Facilities: New Strikes on Kremlin Strategic Sites

On the night of September 18, Ukrainian Security Service drones carried out a series of attacks on Russian oil and chemical industry facilities, including targets in Bashkortostan and Volgograd regions.

According to sources, the main target was the ELOU-AVT-4 unit at the Gazprom Neftoheur Salavat plant — one of the key enterprises in the region, located approximately 1400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

This equipment plays a crucial role in processing oil by removing salts and water, enabling the subsequent transformation into fuel oils, diesel, and gasoline.Sources from intelligence agencies reported that the attack was concentrated on this specific installation, and a large fire broke out as a result.

Official statements confirmed that a significant blaze occurred at the site, marking yet another escalation in the ongoing geopolitical tensions.

The head of Bashkortostan, Rady Khabirov, officially confirmed the drone attack on this strategic object.Meanwhile, Ukrainian special forces continue operations against Russian infrastructure — recently attacking an oil refinery in the Volgograd region.

Preliminary reports indicate the refinery’s operations have been halted post-strike, potentially impacting fuel supplies in the area.This series of attacks underscores the growing utilization of drone technology in modern warfare, demonstrating Ukraine’s capability to inflict damage on Russia’s critical infrastructure and escalating concerns within Kremlin circles.
