A significant diplomatic visit is taking place in Kyiv.

Poland’s Defense Minister, Waldemar Buda, arrived in the Ukrainian capital early on September 18 to personally discuss further defense cooperation and the regional security situation.

Accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Defense and the Polish Armed Forces, he met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov.

The main agenda of the talks centered around providing military support to Ukraine, exploring additional joint initiatives, and strengthening the country’s defense capacity amid Russian aggression.According to sources cited by ‘European Pravda’, the visit aims to enhance information exchange and strengthen efforts to counter hostile drones and security threats.

The background of this visit is also linked to Ukrainian foreign Ministry reports that a high-level Polish delegation is expected to arrive this week to better understand Ukraine’s experience in drone countermeasures, especially those used during the ongoing conflict.Notably, on September 17, Russia launched extensive missile and drone attacks, including on Poland, where approximately twenty drones crossed the border — some penetrating nearly 300 kilometers into Polish territory, targeting objects and locations within the country.

This prompted calls for increased defense measures and heightened security among NATO allies.Overall, the visit by the Polish minister reflects the timely support and bolstering of military collaboration among partner nations, especially amid growing regional security challenges.
