In Ukraine, the transition from paper labor books to electronic versions is gaining momentum, contributing to the modernization of employment records.
The electronic labor book is increasingly popular and gradually replaces the traditional paper format, enabling employees and employers to access necessary information more quickly, conveniently, and securely.According to the official guidelines from the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Zakarpattia region, to obtain an extract from this electronic record, one must use the special web portal of the state service system.
Here, every user with an electronic record can generate an official extract confirming their employment history and other relevant data for pension or other documentation. The process is straightforward and involves several steps.
First, users need to log in to the portal using a qualified electronic signature or through the ID.GOV.UA system with a bank card.
Next, in the menu, they select the section “Communications with PFU,” where they find the item “Request for electronic documents.” Then, they choose the document type – “Extract from the EKB” (Electronic Labor Book), after which the form is automatically filled. If some information is missing or needs clarification, users can specify their phone number and check the box “I give consent for the transfer and processing of my personal data.” After clicking “Send to PFU,” they must wait several minutes while the system generates the document.
The extract can be reviewed in the section “My Requests,” where all active requests are displayed. To view and download the extract, users should click on the relevant icon and save the file in .pdf format.
It is important to note that employers can also request an extract from the electronic labor book only if the employee has given explicit consent.
To add an employer to the list authorized to receive the EKB, users can use the “Add” function in the “Access to EKB” menu, where they manually enter the EDRPOU code or select from an automatic list of insurers.Obtaining an extract from the electronic labor book is a convenient and quick way to verify employment history and recorded data without searching through paper documents.
This digitization process saves time for both employees and employers and increases transparency in employment relations.
