Zaporizhzhia Region Under Attack Again: Russian Shelling Hits Residential Areas, Casualties and Destruction Reported

The Zaporizhzhia region has once again become the site of tragic events as Russian occupying forces launched fresh attacks.
According to the official information from the regional military administration, on September 1, at least two civilians lost their lives in the Pologivskyi district.
Russian troops used cluster munitions (CAs) against populated areas — weapons that caused extensive damage to residential buildings and inflicted civilian casualties.
A particularly devastating incident involved the destruction of a house in the village of Omelnik, where sadly, a young couple aged 64 was killed.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reports ongoing shelling in the region, targeting settlements such as Huliaypole, Poltavka, Malynivka, Bilorirya, and others.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy conducted more than 591 strikes across 20 localities in the region, utilizing aviation, artillery, missile systems, and drones.
Russian aircraft carried out six airstrikes on Gulyaypole, Omelnik, Poltavka, Malynivka, Bilorirya, and Uspenivka.
Additionally, enemy UAVs, predominantly FPV types, attacked multiple villages, including Kamyanka, Bilenke, Chervonodneprovka, Plavni, Primorske, Shcherbaky, and more.
Multiple rocket launcher system (RSL) attacks struck Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, and Mala Tokmachka, while about 150 artillery strikes hit the territories of Plavni, Primorske, Gulyaypole, and neighboring settlements.
As a result of these attacks, dozens of private houses, apartments, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities have been damaged.
The casualties include at least two civilians killed and many others wounded.
Fires caused by Russian shelling have erupted in various regions of the oblast, complicating rescue efforts and additional emergency responses.
