Ukrainian ‘Flamingo’ Missiles Strike Border Post in Crimea: New Data and Outcomes

In occupied Crimea on August 30, Ukrainian missile systems ‘Flamingo’ launched a precise and impactful attack on Russian border facilities near the village of Voloshine, close to the town of Armyansk.
The attack resulted in significant destruction of strategic sites, including the ‘Usol’ resort, which has served as a border outpost since 2017.
This operation dealt a substantial blow to the occupiers, as a barracks was completely burned down, and reports confirm one fatality along with several injuries.
Additionally, six air-cushion boats—likely from the ‘Khevus’ project—were destroyed during the assault.
Satellite imagery provided by the monitoring group ‘Crimean Wind’ shows extensive damage to infrastructure, with visible burn marks and destroyed structures indicating the success of the mission.
Earlier reports stated that at 7 a.m., Ukrainian forces used the ‘Neptune’ missile system to strike this border post, and later, footage of the ‘Flamingo’ missile launches appeared online.
These actions seem aimed at increasing pressure on occupying forces and strengthening Ukraine’s strategic position in the region.
Moreover, reports indicate that internet access in Crimea has been disrupted, possibly as a consequence of the attack.
There are also claims of the destruction of two Russian helicopters in occupied Simferopol, based on satellite analysis by the OSINT community AviVector of the airfield infrastructure on August 30.
