Odessa Region Restores Power Supply After Russian Attack: On-the-Ground Situation

Following a large-scale night missile strike by Russian forces on the Odessa region, the power supply situation remains tense.
Head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported that the missile attack caused significant damage to the region’s energy infrastructure, leaving some areas still undergoing repair work.
Currently, around-the-clock repair crews are actively working to reconnect residents and restore vital infrastructure.
According to Kiper, more than 2,500 subscribers have already been reconnected to the electricity grid in the past day.
However, the extent of the damages demands a lengthy restoration process, and full power supply has not yet been reestablished.Meanwhile, backup generators are being used to ensure continuous water supply across the region.
Kiper emphasized that the situation with water provision is under control, and all necessary measures are in place to support the population’s needs.Recall that the previous night, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on the region, targeting primarily the city of Chornomorsk and its surroundings.
The ongoing conflict continues to impact the region’s energy stability, and Ukrainian services are diligently working to repair the damaged infrastructure.
