Is Normalizing the War in Ukraine the Greatest Victory for Evil Empires?

The idea that society’s gradual habituation to the ongoing war in Ukraine could become the most significant victory for the aggressor is gaining increasing relevance amid current events.
Poland’s Minister of Defense, Włodzimierz Kossyniak-Kamis, emphasized in his speeches that human indifference and the lack of reactions to the ongoing tragedy might strengthen the power of the aggressor — Russia.
He reminded that war is not just political or military actions; it involves the destruction of lives and futures: kindergartens, hospitals, and schools are under attack.
Normalizing these horrors would represent the greatest victory for the forces of evil, which are once again gaining confidence and looking from the East.
The Minister also highlighted that Poland’s security is closely linked to Ukraine’s situation because the fate of Ukraine is critical for geopolitical stability in Europe.
He added that although national sensitivity may diminish over time, the duty to respond and stand united cannot be overshadowed by fatigue or disillusionment.
This obligation reflects the need to remain ready for any challenges and to continue fighting for security and independence.
Furthermore, in the broader geopolitical context, reactions from other countries are significant — notably the President of Finland, who stressed the need to adapt to the new realities near borders affected by active conflict.
Warsaw is expressing its readiness to play a more active role in supporting Ukraine, including participating in peacekeeping missions, but remains cautious about deploying troops due to potential threats along Russia and Belarus borders.
