Andriy Parubiy Did Not Seek Security Before His Murder in Lviv, Police Confirm

Following the tragic incident in Lviv on August 30, when Ukrainian People’s Deputy Andriy Parubiy was killed, law enforcement agencies in Ukraine have emphasized the importance of precautionary security measures for public figures.
According to Andriy Nebytov, the deputy head of the National Police, Parubiy did not approach police authorities for protection or security guarantees prior to the attack.
He added that the investigation is actively working to establish all circumstances surrounding the tragedy, including exploring various theories such as whether the deputy was under surveillance.
Once enough evidence is gathered, investigators will publicly share the findings, provided this does not interfere with the ongoing investigation or compromise any leads.
Currently, investigators are collecting and analyzing evidence to understand all details of the crime and potential motives, aiming to uncover those responsible and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
