Tragic Shooting in Fastiv: One Dead and One Injured
A tragic incident has taken place in the city of Fastiv, Kyiv region, shocking the local community.
According to law enforcement sources, a 53-year-old resident of the city opened fire, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old man and wounding his father, who is currently hospitalized under medical supervision.
The incident occurred on one of Fastiv’s main streets when a conflict erupted between the attacker and two individuals, escalating quickly into violence.
Witnesses report that the shooter, in an emotional state, returned to his home, retrieved a firearm, and came back to the scene, opening fire at the men.
Fortunately, a police department head of preventive services, who was off-duty at the moment, responded promptly, detaining the shooter and calling an ambulance.
The 28-year-old victim died in the hospital, while his father received injuries and is under medical care.
Police conducted searches and seized the weapon used in the crime.
The 53-year-old suspect has been detained under criminal proceedings, and the case is being pursued under articles related to intentional murder and attempted murder.
