Russian Drones Strike Ukraine: 142 UAVs Attack in a Single Night
On the night of August 31, Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack across Ukrainian territory.
According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, the enemy deployed a record number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)—142 in total.
Ukrainian defenses managed to shoot down and suppress 126 of these drones; however, not all were neutralized.
Investigations of the attack sites revealed that 16 combat UAVs successfully penetrated the defenses, striking at 10 different locations, while another 6 drones were destroyed and fell in various areas.
This escalation highlights the increasing activity and tactical sophistication of Russian military operations involving drones, aimed at destabilizing Ukraine and undermining its defenses.
Ukrainian forces continue to effectively counter these threats, but the rising number and intensity of attacks demand heightened security and defensive measures to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and stability.
