Russian Attacks on Kherson: Woman Killed, Multiple Injuries, Infrastructure Damaged

On Sunday around noon, Russian forces launched a major attack on the city of Kherson, resulting in tragic human losses and widespread destruction.

According to official reports, a woman was killed during the incident, and at least six residents were injured of varying severity.

The attack took place approximately at 12:00 when Russian drones targeted one of the city’s central streets, causing fires and partial destruction of buildings.

Among the damaged infrastructure were medical and educational facilities, administrative offices, and residential buildings.

At least six people were injured during the artillery strikes.

Regional leaders confirmed that an ongoing investigation under the Ukrainian Criminal Code has been initiated into possible war crimes related to the attack.

Just the day before, on August 30, Russian troops shelled the administrative building of the Kherson Regional State Administration, igniting a fire that was extinguished only the following morning.

These aggressive actions by Russia continue to provoke outrage and concern among local residents and international observers alike.

These incidents highlight the ongoing escalation of the conflict in southern Ukraine and the immense human suffering inflicted by ongoing hostilities, underscoring the volatility and devastating impact of the war in the region.
