Massive Russian Attack on Odesa Region: Damage, Injuries, and Disruptions

On the night of August 31, a large-scale military incident occurred on Ukraine’s southern front — Russia launched a massive attack on the Odessa region using strike drones.
According to official information from the Odessa Regional Military Administration and the State Emergency Service, at least one person was injured during the nighttime assault, and critical infrastructure facilities suffered significant damage.
The city of Chornomorsk and surrounding areas were most affected.
The attack resulted in extensive damage to energy infrastructure, leaving over 29,000 residents without electricity.
Private homes and administrative buildings were also damaged, and fires broke out in some districts.
It is known that explosions were heard during the attack, accompanying the work of air defense forces.
Despite efforts by Ukrainian defenders to mitigate the consequences, the situation remains tense — the Ukrainian military continues to work on reducing damage and ensuring the safety of the population.
