Massive Attacks on Zaporizhzhia Region: One Dead and Many Wounded in Russian Assaults

On Thursday, August 30, the Zaporizhzhia region once again found itself under intense shelling and drone attacks by Russian forces and their occupation units, resulting in significant casualties and destruction.
According to the regional military administration, one person was killed, and 37 others were injured, some with severe wounds.
The scale of these attacks clearly indicates that the enemy continues its pattern of destruction and terror tactics, which have persisted over recent days.
Data from the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration shows that during the day, the aggressors launched a total of 391 strikes across 16 settlements, including Zaporizhzhia city, and the Zaporizhzhia and Pologiv districts.
The weapons used mainly included rockets and various models of UAVs, targeting both civilian infrastructure and residential areas.
More than 88 artillery and aviation strikes were registered across different parts of the region, along with a significant drone attack involving over 286 unmanned aerial vehicles.
These strikes damaged dozens of homes, apartments, utility buildings, garages, and caused extensive destruction of critical and social infrastructure objects.
A total of over 382 reports of property damage and infrastructure destruction have been received by local authorities.
The casualties and damages continue to grow, with the situation remaining tense, as the enemy demonstrates its firm commitment to ongoing attacks.
It is also noteworthy that earlier, on August 30, Russian forces used long-range missile systems and drones to strike Sumy region, where a village elder suffered injuries, illustrating the widespread and targeted nature of their aggression across Ukraine.
