Zelensky Condemns Nighttime Russian Shelling and Urges Global Action
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed deep concern and outrage over the recent massive missile strikes carried out by Russia during the night.
According to him, the time allocated for preparatory meetings at the leadership level was cynically exploited by Moscow to plan and execute new large-scale missile attacks targeting Ukrainian infrastructure and civilians.
Zelensky emphasized that the international community must move beyond words to tangible actions, implementing harsh measures against the aggressor country.
He called for coordinated sanctions, including banking and energy restrictions, as well as intensified efforts to cut off funding for the Russian military.
The president stressed that political statements alone are insufficient; concrete steps are necessary to halt the aggression and prevent further human casualties.
As of now, there is one confirmed death and dozens of injuries, including children.
Multiple regions, such as Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv, have suffered from the strikes.
Ukraine continues to insist on swift and decisive actions from the international community to stop the aggression and protect civilians from further attacks.
