Ukraine Urges Global Pressure on Russia to Pursue Peace Through Negotiations
Andriy Yermak, head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, called on Western nations to intensify pressure on Russia in order to facilitate the start of diplomatic negotiations and ultimately reach a long-awaited peace.
According to Yermak, the key now is to compel the Russian leadership to sit at the negotiating table, as only diplomacy can bring resolution to the conflict.
He emphasized that Ukraine does not aim to win the war at any cost but insists on a fair and sustainable peace — therefore, international support is crucial.
Yermak also highlighted Ukraine’s growing strength and commitment to peace, especially through the development of its military-industrial complex, notably drone production, which has already positioned Ukraine as a global leader in this field.
He pointed out that foreign aid has allowed Ukraine to significantly enhance its defense capacities.
Furthermore, Ukraine is prepared for a high-level meeting with Russia and is confident in its ultimate victory through diplomatic means.
Yermak appealed to Western partners to exert pressure on Russia to bring it to the negotiating table, asserting that only through such efforts can a just peace be achieved for Ukraine and the world.
