In Lviv, a brutal assassination took the life of former Verkhovna Rada Chairman and Member of Parliament from the ‘European Solidarity’ party, Andriy Parubiy.

Official sources indicate that this crime was meticulously planned, representing a well-orchestrated act of violence.

Law enforcement agencies and security services are actively investigating the incident, mobilizing their best resources to uncover motives and identify the perpetrator.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a Facebook post, emphasized that this targeted killing was an example of a carefully prepared operation that required significant resources and coordinated actions.

He also reported that investigators, with the involvement of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), are thoroughly working to establish all circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

Vadym Onyshchenko, head of the SBU’s Lviv regional department, stated during a briefing that the crime was meticulously prepared and mentioned that the attacker’s identity has not yet been determined.

Authorities do not rule out the possibility of a Russian trace and are considering various versions, including political motives.

It has been confirmed that the assassin fired at least eight shots from a short-barreled firearm.

Media reports indicate that the suspect approached Parubiy, shot him, and then fled the scene.

The perpetrator was reportedly dressed as a delivery courier at the time of the attack.

A special operation named ‘Siren’ has been launched in Lviv to locate and apprehend the suspect.

Experts and former law enforcement officials suggest that under certain circumstances, the murder could be classified as a war crime, adding complexity and expanding the scope of the investigation.

This tragedy shocks the entire nation and calls for maximum attention and effective action from the authorities to identify those responsible and prevent similar incidents in the future.
