Cherkasy Region Suffers from Russian Attack: School Damaged and Missile Interceptions

On the night of August 30, the area around the city of Cherkasy once again became a frontline zone amid ongoing hostilities.

According to the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, a powerful explosion wave caused by a Russian attack resulted in damaged windows at a local lyceum situated in the Cherkasy district.

Further details indicate that Ukrainian forces successfully intercepted and neutralized two Russian missiles along with 14 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The falling debris from the intercepted projectiles ignited several fires, notably covering an area of approximately 800 square meters in the city center.

Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported during the incident.

This event highlights the persistent danger and challenges faced by the region, underscoring the ongoing efforts to defend Ukraine’s security and sovereignty amid fierce fighting.
