Zelensky Outlines Key Objectives of Ukrainian Delegation’s Visit to the USA and Defense Enhancement Plans
During a press briefing on Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky detailed the main goals and tasks of the Ukrainian delegation currently in the United States for a series of crucial meetings.
According to him, the primary aim of the visit is to accelerate the delivery of weapons that Ukraine is purchasing through its international partners, including the United States, to strengthen its defense capabilities.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is actively collaborating with several partner countries and strives to make this process as swift and efficient as possible.”We are purchasing weapons in the USA.

This initiative is vital in boosting Ukraine’s defense amid ongoing conflict with Russia.Another significant topic of discussion was Russia’s demonstrated inability to reach diplomatic settlements, evidenced by missile strikes on Ukrainian cities.
Consequently, Ukraine plans to appeal to the UN Security Council, where Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko will represent Ukraine.
Additionally, Zelensky mentioned that the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, will meet directly with Steve Vítkoff, accompanied by politicians like Marco Rubio and Sergey Kislitsa.
They will discuss agreements previously made with former US President Donald Trump.Zelensky also added that Ukraine is actively working on multiple fronts, including cooperation with Turkey, and expects to hold a series of negotiations next week with key European allies to reinforce and expand security and diplomatic cooperation.
