In the context of geopolitical tensions and potential diplomatic scenarios concerning future meetings of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia, President Volodymyr Zelensky shared his views on the likelihood of a tripartite summit.

He pointed out that there were initially better chances for such a format to occur during the Alaska summit.

According to Zelensky, the circumstances were more favorable for this, but the situation has shifted in Russia’s favor, as Moscow is doing everything possible to avoid formal talks, he claimed.

“Had the three-way meeting been proposed immediately, there would have been a higher chance of it happening, but now the situation is different.

We are not setting the scenario; circumstances are,” he said during a media broadcast.

Additionally, Zelensky discussed the possibility of meeting with Putin, stating that Russians are currently analyzing possible scenarios but are deliberately attempting to prevent it.

The president emphasized that for such a meeting to occur, all parties need to be prepared to fulfill their roles and called on international partners to actively participate.

He also remarked that recent ultimatum-like statements from Putin’s administration suggest a potential postponement of negotiations and heightened radical sentiments within Russia, complicating diplomatic efforts and reducing the likelihood of quick agreements.
