Ukrainian Armed Forces Launch Major Operation Targeting Russian Logistics in Bryansk Region

On the night of August 29, Ukrainian military units carried out a targeted and decisive strike on a critical strategic facility in the Bryansk region of Russia.

This action was part of Kyiv’s ongoing efforts to weaken Russia’s military supply chains and undermine its capacity to sustain prolonged military operations.

The attack resulted in the destruction of a pipeline station that played a vital role in supplying fuel to Russian forces.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the target was a pumping station near the locality of Naitopolovichi, responsible for transferring diesel fuel via large-diameter pipelines, including those used by the Russian military.

The station’s annual capacity was approximately 10.5 million tons, making it a significant logistical hub.

The operation was executed using missile systems and artillery, coordinated with drone units, special forces, and Ukraine’s Security Service.

A fire broke out at the scene following the strike, with the extent of damages still being clarified.

Ukrainian military officials emphasize that systematically degrading Russia’s military-economic capabilities—particularly its logistics—is aimed at constraining the aggressor’s ability to sustain its military campaign.

Reports from Russian sources claim that in response, several unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by Russian air defense systems, and additional reports indicate ongoing missile activity in the Bryansk region.

Notably, Ukrainian forces had previously targeted another pipeline station—Unecha—in the Bryansk region on August 13, which was used to supply fuel to Russian military units, indicating a persistent pattern of strikes designed to weaken Moscow’s logistical backbone.
