Amid ongoing military actions and aggressive strikes by Russia against Ukrainian territories, Sweden demonstrates its solidarity with Ukraine and condemns the actions of Russian military forces.

The latest development includes Sweden summoning the Russian ambassador in Stockholm on August 29, signaling the international community’s stance against the war and violations of humanitarian law.

The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially expressed its position, stating that the ambassador’s call serves as a response to new Russian attacks targeting Ukrainian cities, during which residential buildings, commercial facilities, and infrastructure were damaged.

The statement emphasizes that Moscow is violating international norms by failing to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure as mandated by humanitarian law.

This episode further confirms that the global community refuses to turn a blind eye to war crimes and seeks to support Ukraine while urging Russia to cease hostilities.

Meanwhile, in Kyiv, following Russian strikes in the Darnytskyi district on August 28, the death toll has risen to 23, with 22 victims in a residential building that was heavily damaged.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the fate of eight residents remains unknown.

This attack underscores the necessity for international solidarity and continued support for Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and the safety of its citizens.
