Russian Attacks on Kherson Leave Three Wounded and in Critical Condition
On the evening of August 28, the city of Kherson once again became a target of shelling by Russian forces, resulting in numerous injuries among civilians.
According to the Kherson Military Administration’s Telegram report, around 11 p.m., Russian troops from the temporarily occupied left bank of the Dnipro River launched artillery fire against the Dniprovskyi district.
As a consequence, three residents sustained injuries of varying severity and were quickly transported to local hospitals for urgent medical care.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 42-year-old man suffered a mine-explosive injury accompanied by shrapnel wounds to the chest and abdomen, as well as a broken leg; his condition remains critical.
A 72-year-old woman sustained mine-explosive trauma and shrapnel injuries to her legs, with her condition assessed as moderate.
The youngest victim, a 63-year-old woman, sustained mine-explosive wounds and bruises to her arms, with her state classified as mild.
Authorities urge residents to stay in shelters and follow safety protocols during emergencies to prevent further casualties.
Evacuation efforts are underway, and heightened security measures are in place until the situation stabilizes, amid ongoing tensions and threats.
