This year, Denmark’s contribution to supporting Ukraine’s defense industry through the so-called “Danish model” will significantly increase, reaching approximately 1.4 billion euros.

This strategy involves financing Ukrainian companies to produce weapons and military equipment, playing a crucial role in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities amid ongoing conflict.

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen emphasized that last year, the total amounted to about 600 million euros, and he expects to invest even more this year.

According to Poulsen, Ukrainian defense enterprises are highly capable of responding quickly and efficiently to orders, fulfilling them within months rather than years, which makes this approach particularly attractive in the context of modern warfare.

The minister also called for expanding international support via the “Danish model,” highlighting the importance of intensified cooperation and investments.

He stressed that Ukraine needs even greater military aid, as time is not on its side, and procrastination could lead to devastating long-term consequences.

In this context, other countries and international partners are advocating for increased support to Ukraine in arms production, to accelerate its path to victory and enhance its defense resilience.
