In his recent address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the attacks by Russian forces on Ukrainian territory, including the nighttime shelling of Kyiv on August 28, carry a deeper global significance and clearly indicate Moscow’s broader objectives.

According to Zelensky, these strikes are not merely military actions within the context of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, but a stark message to the international community about Russia’s intentions to continue its aggression against all those striving for peace and stability.

The Ukrainian leader pointed out that this strike demonstrates Russia’s unwavering goals — they persist in attacking not only Ukrainian cities and communities but also targeting Europe and key figures in the United States, notably President Donald Trump. He also highlighted reports from Washington suggesting potential steps toward ending the war and initiating dialogue at the leadership level.

However, Zelensky criticized Moscow’s approach, stating that Putin prefers missile strikes and intimidation tactics over genuine peace efforts.

Furthermore, he warned that countries such as China, India, and other Asian and Latin American nations are still conducting trade with Russia, which, according to him, effectively allies them with Moscow through such violent acts and bloodshed.

Zelensky urged the international community to be more decisive and united in resisting Russian aggression, to prevent further conflicts and ensure global stability.

He emphasized that the ongoing war’s consequences will impact the entire world for a long time, and ignoring Moscow’s crimes could lead to even more escalation.

The Ukrainian president called on world leaders to take urgent action to protect Ukraine and global peace from the new challenges posed by Kremlin’s actions.
