UK Prepares Long-term Cooperation with Ukraine in Space and Cyber Domains Post-War
In the aftermath of the devastating events triggered by Russia’s war against Ukraine, the United Kingdom is actively planning to establish long-term strategic partnerships to support Kyiv across various sectors, notably in space exploration and cybersecurity.
Senior officials indicate that London intends to intensify collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and scientific advancements to ensure its sovereignty and security in the future.
Key focus areas include not only military aid but also the development of technological and informational innovations that will allow Ukraine to stay at the forefront of modern challenges.
Within this framework, British military and scientific communities are working on large-scale cooperation programs, including the creation of new space missions and enhanced cyber defenses for Ukrainian systems.
These plans are supported by statements from Admiral Anthony Radakin, who noted that post-war projects are expected to reach new heights.
“Of course, this involves not only expanding existing operations but also launching new initiatives, such as ‘Operation Orbital ++,’ covering higher levels of military cooperation.
In the future, this will include air, space, and cyber domains, which are becoming increasingly critical in modern warfare,” he emphasized.
Radakin added that the unified political stance in the UK across party lines supports ongoing assistance to Ukraine, asserting that the country’s aid policies have never been a source of domestic political division.
The admiral also shared insights into how security guarantees for Ukraine will operate after the conflict, which will be crucial in maintaining regional stability.
