Russian strategic missiles breach Ukraine’s airspace again: details of the attack and possible consequences

On the early morning of August 28, Ukrainian defenders recorded a new and dangerous attempt by Russian strategic aviation to intrude into Ukrainian airspace.
Around 5:10 a.m., cruise missiles launched from Russian strategic aircraft entered Ukraine’s airspace, heading toward the southwestern borders of the country.
Just minutes later—at 5:16 a.m.—the Ukrainian Air Forces reported a group of such missiles near the borders of Sumy and Chernihiv regions, noting that they were moving southwest.
By 5:18 a.m., it was known that most of these missiles had changed course, now heading towards the Poltava region, and later were directed towards Cherkasy.
At 5:21 a.m., confirmation came that another group of cruise missiles near Sumy was also moving southwest toward Cherkasy.
This attack once again underscored the ongoing high tension in the region and highlighted the need for strengthened defensive measures to protect the country from such provocations in the future.
