Russia Launches Major Missile Attack on Zaporizhzhia: Impact and New Details of the Assault
On the morning of August 28th, Russian forces once again launched a devastating missile strike on Zaporizhzhia, sparking widespread alarm and causing significant material damage.
Local authorities reported that the target was industrial facilities located in the city’s central area.
At the moment of the attack, fires broke out at the site, quickly spreading and damaging several sectors.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, stated that at least eight multi-story buildings and commercial premises were damaged, with several non-residential structures destroyed.
Additionally, four residents in Zaporizhzhia and Pologivskyi district were wounded.
Meanwhile, Russian troops advanced closer to three villages within Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions, raising concerns about potential escalation.
Over the past day, Russian forces conducted more than 495 separate strikes using various types of weapons, targeting 15 towns and villages in the region, increasing tensions among residents and emergency responders.
A week earlier, Zaporizhzhia experienced a missile attack that damaged several industrial facilities and residential buildings, though no casualties were reported.
