Russia and China Conduct Their First Joint Underwater Patrol in the Pacific Ocean: A New Chapter in Military Cooperation
For the first time in history, Russia and China carried out a joint underwater patrol in the waters of the Pacific Ocean, marking a significant step in deepening military cooperation between the two nations.
This historic operation took place in late summer, following the completion of large-scale exercises titled ‘Maritime Interaction-2025’ conducted in Japanese waters.
According to official information from the Russian Pacific Fleet’s press service, both Russian and Chinese submarines operated along coordinated routes, covering areas in the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea.
After completing their assigned tasks, the submarines returned to their respective bases for debriefing.
This event opens new horizons for regional military collaboration, showcasing the countries’ intent to strengthen strategic partnerships and demonstrate their ability to operate jointly in complex maritime environments.
