Missile Attack in Kyiv: Five-Story Building Destroyed Overnight, Dozens Wounded and Widespread Damage Across the City

On the night of August 28, Kyiv experienced a large-scale missile and drone attack, resulting in extensive destruction and human casualties.
According to official reports, at least several individuals lost their lives, while over 30 others were injured and hospitalized.
At the center of this tragedy is a five-story residential building in the Darnytskyi district, which was nearly completely destroyed by the missile strike.Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, confirmed to RBC-Ukraine that fragments of the missile were found, and their analysis is ongoing.
Law enforcement and military experts are investigating all circumstances of the attack and identifying the missile types used.
Kyiv’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, added that as of today, 38 residents have been injured, with 30 hospitalized.The attack impacted several districts across the city, causing significant damage.
Eyewitnesses reported direct hits on residential buildings, shopping centers, and kindergartens.
An assessment of the destruction revealed damage to multi-story apartment buildings of various heights, private homes, vehicles, and infrastructure objects.
