European Union Condemns Brutal Rocket Attack on Kyiv: Kalas Reacts
The European Union expresses deep concern and outrage over Russia’s continued escalation of its military aggression against Ukraine, marked by relentless missile and drone strikes targeting Kyiv and surrounding regions.
High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs, Kai Kalas, in a recent statement on the social platform X, emphasized that the nighttime assault on Kyiv demonstrates Russia’s deliberate choice to escalate the conflict further and disregard international peace efforts.
Kalas called on Russia to cease the killing of civilians and urgently enter negotiations, stressing that diplomatic solutions are still possible.
On the eve, several missile strikes hit the Kyiv region, causing casualties and extensive damage across multiple districts.
The latest reports confirm a death toll rising to 15, including four children, with another 45 residents wounded, ten of whom are minors.
In Darnytskyi district, a five-story residential building was struck, resulting in significant destruction.
This brutal tactic by Russia sparks global outrage and concern, prompting calls for stringent sanctions and renewed diplomatic efforts to end the violence.
