Massive Russian Strikes on Poltava Region Cause Major Damage and Power Outages
On the night of August 27th, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on the Poltava region, resulting in significant infrastructure damage and temporary power outages across the area.
According to the head of the regional military administration, Volodymyr Kohut, the strike targeted an energy facility in the Poltava district, causing extensive fires and destruction.
Debris, direct hits, and damage to administrative buildings and vehicles were observed at the scene.
The attack led to the destruction of several infrastructure objects, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Power supply systems were severely affected, leading to temporary blackouts for both private households and public institutions.
By 8:15 AM, the fires were localized, and electricity was gradually restored.
Kohut emphasized that the situation is now stabilized and the aftermath of the attack has been addressed.
Regional authorities continue to urge residents to stay alert and follow safety guidelines.
