In Germany, a comprehensive investigation has culminated in the identification of all members of the so-called sabotage group responsible for the destruction of the ‘Nord Stream’ pipelines in 2022.

While the news sheds light on possible suspects behind these acts — despite official Ukrainian denials — new information points toward Ukrainian nationals involved in the operations.

According to sources, German law enforcement authorities identified seven individuals, all Ukrainian citizens, linked to the organization and execution of the explosions.

Notably, one suspect, Sergey Kuznetsov, who was detained in Italy last week, is believed to be the coordinator of the sabotage group.

Alongside him, there are four divers, an explosive expert, and the captain of the vessel ‘Andromeda,’ which facilitated the operation.

A particularly intriguing detail concerns a seventh suspect — a Ukrainian serviceman identified as Vsevolod K., who, according to investigations, was training in Germany at the time of the attacks but reportedly died on the Ukrainian front.

Details about the suspects remain limited, but reports indicate that among them is a Ukrainian woman who studied at a private diving school in Kyiv, as well as a seafarer from Odesa — whose fingerprints, taken during previous trips to the Netherlands, were found on the ‘Andromeda’ vessel.

Additionally, the investigation hints at possible links between the suspects and Ukrainian intelligence or military, notably through the possession of fake Ukrainian passports, with Kuznetsov reportedly having two.

However, law enforcement has not confirmed whether the explosions were authorized by the Ukrainian government.

The events in September 2022, when four leaks appeared on two pipelines near the Danish island Borgenholm, initially led to suspicions of Russian involvement.

Yet, German federal prosecutors later linked the incidents to Ukraine.

In 2024, a German prosecutor issued a pre-trial arrest warrant for one of the divers — a Ukrainian citizen — who managed to leave Poland before arrest.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine had no involvement in the blasts and called for analysis of possible motives behind spreading such disinformation.

The mystery continues, raising questions about geopolitical stability and complex international intrigues.
