Escalation of Hostilities: Russian Forces Advance in Eastern Ukraine and Seize New Positions
The situation on the front lines has significantly deteriorated over the past day, as Russian military units have intensified their operations and gained new territorial advantages in several key sectors of eastern Ukraine.
According to the analytical resource DeepState, Russian troops achieved a successful breakthrough in the regions of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia, specifically in the villages of Zarichne and Kotline, as well as near settlements in the Lyman and Huliapil directions.
Furthermore, data from DeepStateMAP indicate that Russian forces have advanced in the Kolodzyasivka area and along sectors in Zaporizhzhia, signaling an escalation in attack activity.
The most tense situation is reported on one of the most heated sectors, where Ukrainian troops have recorded the enemy’s advance on at least two critical locations.
Initially, there were claims that Russian forces seized several villages, including Zaporizke and Novogeorgievka, but the General Staff of Ukraine denied this information, emphasizing that Ukrainian defenders maintain control and manage the situation effectively.
Nonetheless, fighting continues in the Novogeorgievka area, with Ukrainian troops conducting counterattacks and consolidating positions.
In Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukrainian forces successfully cleared the village of Zelenyi Hai near administrative borders, strengthening the defense and preparing for possible further actions by the enemy.
