Ukrainian Government Simplifies Border Crossing for Men Aged 18 to 22, Opening New Opportunities for Mobility During Wartime

The government of Ukraine has implemented a decision to facilitate the border crossing process for a specific category of citizens – men aged 18 to 22.
This measure is a response to current challenges and aims to support Ukrainians’ connections with their homeland during wartime.
According to an official statement by Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, these changes will take effect immediately after publication and will enable young Ukrainian men to cross the border without hindrance during martial law.
This is especially important for those who, for various reasons, have left the country and now wish to maintain ties with their homeland.
Under the new regulations, they will be able to freely return to Ukraine or leave the country during wartime, thus enhancing mobility and creating new opportunities for education, work, or personal matters amid difficult times.
These changes represent an important step in implementing national policy to support Ukrainians in current conditions and are aimed at preserving unity and citizen mobility in exceptional circumstances.
