Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha conducted crucial diplomatic conversations with representatives from the United States and European nations, during which he outlined Kyiv’s stance on security assurances and the next steps toward peace.

According to him, these discussions were based on previous high-level contacts, the recent visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington, as well as work by national security advisors and diplomatic dialogues with European colleagues.

Sybiha emphasized that Ukraine seeks clear, legally binding security guarantees that are comprehensive, covering military, diplomatic, legal, and other spheres.

He stressed that the Ukrainian armed forces are fundamental to any such guarantees, and their robust strengthening remains a top priority.

The Minister expressed Ukraine’s readiness to undertake further steps on the path to peace, including meetings at any level and location, aiming to stop the bloodshed and provide a diplomatic opportunity.

He also warned that Moscow must understand that indefinite delays are unacceptable; if Russia continues to reject meaningful, constructive peace initiatives, it will face consequences such as increased sanctions and enhanced Ukrainian defense capabilities.

It was previously reported that US Secretary of State Mark Rutte discussed with several European foreign ministers and Ukrainian officials efforts aimed at achieving a long-term resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
