Massive Russian Drone Attacks on Kherson Region: Ukrainian Defenders Neutralize Over 77%

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration and official sources, during the past week, Russian forces launched nearly two thousand drone attacks on the territory of Kherson region, utilizing a total of 1964 unmanned aerial vehicles.

Over 77% of these drones were destroyed or suppressed by Ukrainian defenders through advanced electronic warfare systems and other countermeasures.

This indicates a systematic and large-scale military campaign by the occupiers aimed at civilians and critical infrastructure.Official statistics report that the enemy conducted 448 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and civilian infrastructure, along with eight airstrikes.

Meanwhile, the majority of suffering is borne by civilians and regional infrastructure, as many attacks target residential areas, water supply, electricity, and communication facilities.According to statements by the Kherson OVA spokesperson and the command of the 30th Marine Infantry Regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, from August 18 to 24, Ukrainian defenders managed to neutralize 1522 drones out of nearly 1964 launched.

It is noted that in response to constant attacks, Ukrainians actively deploy electronic warfare systems, which helped destroy or suppress nearly 440 FPV drones within the community.The increasing number of drone attacks by Russia illustrates the severity of the situation.

In the Kherson territorial community alone, over 600 drone attacks were recorded, with 439 successfully thwarted.

This underscores the high level of mobility and technological sophistication in the Ukrainian defense and highlights the ongoing need for increased countermeasures against Russian aggression.Overall, the situation remains tense, but Ukrainian military forces report significant progress in neutralizing hostile drones and strengthening regional defenses.

Civilian populations, however, continue to remain the most vulnerable targets, emphasizing the importance of safety measures and humanitarian efforts by the government and the international community.
