Zelensky: Russia Shows No Significant Concessions in Ukraine War

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky openly expressed his views regarding statements made by the Russian leadership concerning progress in the ongoing conflict.
According to him, the Kremlin persistently denies any meaningful concessions or steps toward peace, and their remarks about potentially ceasing further territorial advances in Ukraine cannot be considered a real de-escalation.
Zelensky emphasized that such declarations should be viewed as political gestures rather than signs of genuine progress.
When asked about the possibility of future meetings with Russia, the leader stated that the timing depends solely on actions from Russia and the United States.
He recalled that the US proposed a ceasefire on March 7, which Ukraine supported, though the prospects for summits remain uncertain.
Zelensky also clarified that dialogue with Russia is outside international law and should not be interpreted as progress.
Meanwhile, US Vice President Kamala Harris reported that Russia has made ‘significant concessions,’ including allegedly abandoning plans to establish a puppet regime in Kyiv and agreeing to security guarantees for Ukraine, which could signal a potential shift in the conflict dynamics.
