Ukraine and USA Agree on Steps to Strengthen Security Guarantees and Defense Cooperation

On Monday, August 25, in Kyiv, Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal held a crucial meeting with U.S.
President’s Special Representative Kit Kellogg.
The main topic was the development of reliable and effective security guarantees that could protect Ukraine from future acts of aggression.
The talks also covered the current military situation on the frontlines, including detailed analysis of Russia’s plans and Ukraine’s defense priorities.
Key military leaders, including Lieutenant General Andriy Gnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, head of military intelligence, provided comprehensive updates to the American delegation, offering insight into the ongoing combat situation.
