During a recent press conference at the White House, U.S.

President Donald Trump shared his vision regarding the renaming of the country’s Department of Defense, suggesting a return to the historic name of ‘Department of War.’ According to him, this change would not only enhance the institution’s strength and symbolism but also better reflect America’s military capability.

During his speech, Trump emphasized that the former title sounded more convincing and was associated with power, whereas the current name emphasizes only defensive aspects.

The president proposed conducting a public poll, believing that reverting to the old designation could strengthen the image of American military forces and underscore the country’s determination to defend its interests.

Of course, such changes could face legal and political challenges, but the idea has already sparked lively discussion among U.S.

experts and politicians.

Even opposition figures did not dismiss the possibility of revisiting the symbolism of military structures, highlighting the significance of national security imagery.
