Russia’s Information Influence in Poland: A New Challenge for Neighbors and Ukrainian-Polish Relations

In today’s climate of international security and information warfare, Russia is ramping up efforts to strengthen its influence over public opinion in Poland.
The Ukrainian Center for Counteracting Disinformation (ЦПД) has released a comprehensive analytical report titled “Russia’s Information Influence in the Republic of Poland,” which examines the characteristics and scale of pro-Russian disinformation campaigns across the neighboring country.
The report highlights the identification of various media outlets, political figures, and social media accounts engaged in spreading narratives advantageous to Moscow and Russian propaganda.
It emphasizes that these messages aim to discredit Ukraine and foster skepticism towards its government among the Polish population.
Amid these information operations, Moscow seeks to deepen internal polarization within Poland, undermining stability and Polish-Ukrainian trust.
The report provides a detailed list of key actors, media, and communication channels responsible for disseminating pro-Russian messages within Poland.
Previously, the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, warned that Kremlin is reigniting hostility between Ukrainians and Poles, reminiscent of conflicts from 1939.
He underlined that overcoming disinformation and restoring trust in bilateral relations can only be achieved through acknowledgment of historical truths and open dialogue between the nations.
