US Vice President Forecasts Duration of Ukraine War and Analyzes Peace Negotiation Prospects

Amidst years of Russian aggression against Ukraine, a key American politician has provided an important forecast about the future of the conflict.
US Vice President Kamala Harris expressed the opinion that the war is likely to last several months and could end within the next six months.
She highlighted that the Biden administration is actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to halt the bloodshed, emphasizing that this work deserves recognition and support.
Harris pointed out that US authorities are persistently working to facilitate a compromise between the parties, despite the complexity of negotiations.
A crucial factor is the willingness of Russia and Ukraine to make concessions.
She also noted some signs of improvement in Russia’s stance — the Russian government no longer insists on installing a pro-Russian government in Kyiv and is open to discussing security guarantees for Ukraine.
These signals are seen by diplomats as promising steps towards peace.
However, Harris emphasized that current agreements are insufficient for final peace and urged Ukraine to continue fighting for its interests.
She also stressed that future borders of Ukraine will be determined by the Ukrainian people, while Russia will need to concede some of its demands.
Previously, US President Donald Trump had met with President Zelensky and discussed bilateral issues, including the possibility of meeting with Vladimir Putin.
Overall, the situation remains tense, but optimism about the potential end of the war persists.
