The resilient Ukrainian armed forces have successfully regained control over the strategically significant village of Zelenyi Hai, located on the border between Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

This military achievement was confirmed by the operational-strategic grouping of troops ‘Dnipro,’ which is actively engaged in fighting in this sector.

According to official reports, Ukrainian units, including the 37th separate marine infantry brigade and the 214th separate assault battalion OPFOR, managed to halt enemy advances and establish control over the settlement, countering Russian efforts to reoccupy it.

As of August 23, during Ukraine’s Independence Day celebrations, Zelenyi Hai remained under the blue and yellow banner of Ukraine, with the brave and well-prepared personnel holding their positions firmly and preventing invasive actions.

Prior to this success, Ukrainian troops from the Fifth Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade had reclaimed most of the village of Tovste nearby.

It is also noteworthy that Russian forces falsely reported the capture of Zelenyi Hai, but official sources refuted these claims.

Ukrainian special forces from the Main Intelligence Directorate, operating as part of the ‘Brotherhood’ unit under the command of ‘Timur,’ neutralized the Russian occupiers, thereby preventing any further Russian advances or occupation of this critical sector.
